The Next Step – Richard Dolgin Private Jeweler

Dolgins Diamond Center store front

Our old store at 9286 Metcalf - Dolgin's Diamond Center

For those of you who know Mary and I either as jewelry clients or personal friends, you already know that we closed down Dolgins Diamond Center in early 2009. We were sad to say goodbye to our clients, colleagues and friends we had made over the past 20 years. All of the engagement rings, pairs of diamond earrings and repair work kept us in touch with many clients that become friends.

During our time off from retail, we have been able to get healthier, visit friends in other cities and even spend some time in our garden. We were truly humbled by numerous people who continued to contact us for their jewelry needs. Now with our three boys out of school and settled in their respective jobs, we think it’s a good time to open the doors to our new project: Richard Dolgin Private Jeweler.

I’ll explain what we plan to do over the next couple of weeks in separate posts. Our sole focus will be working with clients one-on-one to take care of their jewelry needs – new diamonds, repairs, appraisals, insurance replacements and, of course, regular clean and checks.

Basics. Every Idea, Concept, service has a basic Profile. A tried and true way of doing a task or service that is the foundation and without it no matter how talented you are at what you do, you are bound to fail. Take those skills and hone them with passion, service and a love in what you do and you have an unbeatable combination. Nice to see you doing it the way you were raised and taught. Something tells me you have found your stride and the future is getting brighter still.. My advice.. Get Some Better Sun Glasses.. Say Hello to Mary and the Boys and I do Miss Kansas City.. Take Care Richard and The Best of Luck in the Years to Come!!
