Taking jewelry from the past and turning it into the future

Making everyone happy at Richard Dolgin Private Jeweler.  Taking the past and turning it into the future.

A client who started doing business with me almost 20 years ago has had many projects since we reopened Richard Dolgin Private Jeweler in Overland Park, KS.  During our first visit a couple of years ago we cleaned up her old scrap gold, refinished and restored all of her jewelry,  purchased a pair of beautiful diamond earrings, and worked on some family heirloom pocket watches.

Now we are about to complete a new project for their 25th wedding anniversary.  To celebrate their 25th anniversary she had always envisioned receiving a genuine emerald.  While looking for the perfect emerald another client stopped in wanting to sell two emeralds.  One weighed 1.64 carat and the other 2.71 carats.  I purchased both of the stones and called the client looking for her anniversary present and she fell in love with the 2.71 carat stone.

New Ring

She decided to use a ring purchased from me in 1995.  It is a beautiful yellow gold ladies fashion ring with channel set baguettes and invisible set princess cut diamonds.  This ring originally had a beautiful 1 1/2 carat round center diamond which was moved to a platinum wedding set purchased a few years ago.  We set the 2.71 emerald in this ring.

The finished product was beautiful.   We restored a old mounting and two clients got wonderful deals.  We took items from the past and created an heirloom piece of custom jewelry that will be enjoyed for years to come.
