Restoring a family heirloom wedding set

Restoration of heirloom jewelry is one of our specialties at Richard Dolgin Private Jeweler in Overland Park Kansas.

A client brought in an engagement ring that had been passed down from her family.  The ring was worn out and needed to be restored so our client could wear it on a daily basis.  My client first picked out a new 1.00 carat round brilliant center diamond for the engagement ring. We rebuilt the ring and re-engraved and milligrained the sections on each side of the center diamond.

A few months after the engagement, my clients came in to pick out their wedding bands. They wanted a matching band that looked original to the heirloom engagement ring. With the client's input, we designed a ring that looked to be original to the set. The wedding band design included milligrained edges and engraving on the side panels. The design also duplicated the side view of the engagmeent rin so you can see the entire diamond while wearing the wedding band.

We recently delivered this successful artistic creation to the clients. We greatly enjoyed another opportunity to create heirloom quality custom jewelry. I welcome you to bring in your family heirlooms for us to restore for future generations to enjoy.
