A Time To Count Our Blessings

This week I have been reflecting about how special it is to help my clients create memorable gift giving  moments.

I was invited to a very special event at the Church of the Resurrection by one of my favorite friends and clients. I really didn't know what to expect and as the event unfolded I was totally inspired by the magnificent holiday pageant. The thought and work that went into this gathering was just amazing. The beautiful voices of the choir, music from the orchestra, regal costumes and talented actors and ballerinas was more than I ever expected. My wife Mary and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the beautiful event and I enjoyed even more watching the faces of the audience during this inspirational celebration.

Act 1 of the production was a dramatic telling in Charles Dickinson's words of the creation of "A Christmas Carol".  The second act portrayed the story of Christmas.  The thousands of volunteers and thousands of hours of work was evident in the spectacular presentation. As I sat in the audience I was almost overwhelmed with the feelings this beautiful production brought to mind. During the production the cast told of the history of the gifts of gold, myrrh, and frankincense.  This brought to mind how lucky my family and associates have been to be able to supply joyous moments through gift giving for decades.  My grandfather and father first started in merchandise distribution in the early 1900s in the Kansas City area. We have been continuously having the honor to supply special gifts since that time. It makes me feel awe to think about the number of families that we have had the honor to provide a special holiday moment for. I continue to take this honor seriously by providing the best service and quality every day that I work in the jewelry industry. The thought that goes into the gifts that we supply and helping our clients fulfill those wishes has been wonderful. Knowing that we are a part of the holiday experience is a great feeling.

We would like to thank the members at the Church of the Resurrection for orchestrating this beautiful event. I would again like to thank my friend and client for inviting us and making us a part of this celebration. I would like to thank my clients for being such wonderful people and allowing me the honor of being a part of their wonderful holiday season.

We wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season. I look forward to having the honor of serving you in 2017 at Richard Dolgin Private Jeweler in Overland Park Kansas.
